I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) offering remote therapy and currently working with adults in an Intensive Outpatient Program in Berkeley. I earned my Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling from California State University, Stanislaus, and have experience in both community-based and outpatient mental health settings.
I work with adults of all ages, supporting them as they navigate life transitions, face uncertainty, and explore what truly matters to them in the face of distress. My specialty areas include trauma, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, existential concerns, and interpersonal conflict. My approach is deeply influenced by existential therapy, which invites clients to explore how they choose to live in the face of isolation, fear, and loss.
In addition to existential techniques, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and cognitive approaches to help clients develop practical coping skills alongside deeper self-understanding. I am also trained in both standard Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and DeTUR EMDR, which are designed to help resolve previous traumatic memories and addictive and/or compulsive behaviors.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for genuine change. I strive to create a collaborative and sincere space in which clients can examine their lives honestly, connect with their inner resources, and move toward living in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. My approach has been described as warm and direct, creating room for reflection and actionable change. Most importantly, I am committed to meeting every concern with dignity and respect.
