I was drawn to this work because I really believe everyone deserves a place where they can feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. Life can be overwhelming at times, and many of us carry experiences that are hard to sort through on our own. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to hold everything by yourself. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you can show up just as you are, and together we can make sense of what you’ve been through and begin moving toward healing and clarity.
In our work together, my goal is to help you feel comfortable being open while also focusing on practical ways to move forward. With over 25 years in the field—along with a lot of life experience—I’ve learned that real change happens when we combine thoughtful listening with strategies that actually help in everyday life. I’ve also taught in master’s-level counseling programs in the Bay Area and supervised therapists in training, which has deepened my belief that when people feel understood and supported, they can find clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I see therapy as something we do together. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope will change, and what feels most important to you. From there, we’ll explore tools and approaches that help you navigate things like anxiety, grief, life transitions, or emotional pain—while also reconnecting with your own strengths. I tend to look at people through a lens of resilience. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I’m more interested in, “What happened, and how did you get through it?” Often, the strengths that helped you survive difficult moments are the same ones we can build on to help you move forward.
One thing I often share is that I’m naturally curious and love learning. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, exploring new ideas, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. Staying curious helps me stay open and engaged, and I think that mindset carries into the work I do with clients.
