Pronouns: She/her/hers
Therapy Style: Challenging, Collaborative, Curious
I decided to become a therapist when I was working as a school counselor. Students would come to me with family and life transition decisions and challenges. I found I wanted to provide a safe space for difficult moments and furthered my education to become a therapist. Also, I have been empathetic since I can remember and my experience has been that people feel comfortable opening up to me. This is the perfect place to support clients and encourage the expression and exploration of life experiences. I seek to let my clients know I am listening by having genuine curiosity, by asking clarifying questions, validating emotions and by guiding my clients in exploring feelings, thought processes and behaviors. I believe the therapeutic relationship is important and I foster transparency in my work. My goal is to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals and couples can explore and discover ways to navigate life experiences. My approach to treatment is collaborative and eclectic.
