Teen Mental Health Treatment That Meets Adolescents Where They Are

Foresight provides teen mental health treatment for adolescents and their families, bringing therapy, psychiatry, ADHD testing, and caregiver support into one care plan. Foresight’s therapy program serves adolescents ages 12 and older, and our psychiatry team serves patients ages 13 and older.

Adolescence can bring mental health challenges that look nothing like what adults experience. A teen may seem withdrawn, irritable, worried, distracted, or unlike themselves, or may be struggling with school, friendships, sleep, motivation, or emotions that feel too big to manage alone. You do not need to have it all figured out before asking for help.

Adolescent Care Designed for School and Family Schedules

Getting a teen into care should not take months. Foresight offers virtual appointments across the states we serve, with in-person care available in select locations, so families can fit sessions around school, work, sports, and transportation. We accept most major insurance plans, and a care coordinator can help you understand coverage, availability, and which provider may be the best fit for your teen.

During the matching process, we will confirm which options are available in your state, whether therapy, psychiatry, or both make sense to start with, and how soon your teen can be seen.

Why Specialized Teen Mental Health Treatment Matters

Teens are not small adults. What looks like defiance, laziness, or moodiness is often anxiety, depression, attention difficulty, or the weight of something a teen has not found words for yet. Treatment that works for adults can miss all of it.

Adolescent care also has to hold more than the teen. School demands, friendships, identity, family dynamics, and the question of whether medication is appropriate all sit inside the same care plan, and caregivers need to understand it well enough to support it at home. Foresight therapists and psychiatric providers work with adolescents routinely and build plans that account for a teen’s stage of development.

Our Services

Care may include one service or several, and the mix can change as your teen’s needs change.

Therapy for Teens Ages 12 and Older

Therapy gives adolescents a supportive space to express their feelings, understand their emotions, and practice tools that work at home, at school, and in relationships.

Psychiatry and Medication Management

Psychiatry can help families understand symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment options. For some teens, a psychiatric evaluation clarifies whether medication management, therapy, school support, or another pathway is appropriate.

ADHD Testing and Attention-Related Support

Some families reach out because a teen is struggling with focus, organization, impulsivity, follow-through, or restlessness. ADHD may be one explanation for these difficulties. Foresight offers ADHD and IVA-2 CPT testing for teens when clinically appropriate.

Family Support and Caregiver Guidance

When a teen is struggling, the whole family feels it. Parents and caregivers may be worried, unsure what to say, or exhausted from trying to help while managing work, siblings, and everything else. Family-centered care helps caregivers understand what their teen is experiencing.

How Care Works

Step 1: Get Started

Tell us what you are noticing, what kind of support you are looking for, and whether care is for your teen, your family or both.

Step 2: Receive an Evaluation

A provider works to understand your teen’s symptoms, history, strengths, stressors, family context, and daily functioning.

Step 3: Build a Care Plan

Your provider recommends next steps based on your teen’s age, needs, symptoms and goals, which may include therapy, psychiatry, medication management or ADHD testing.

Step 4: Adjust the Plan When Needed

Adolescence moves quickly, and ongoing care keeps support in step with school demands, relationships and symptoms as they shift.

Ready to Get Started?

You do not need to wait until things feel unmanageable to ask for support. If your teen is struggling with emotions, behavior, focus, relationships, school stress or family changes, a thoughtful care plan can help your family understand what is happening and what may help next.

Support is available, and you do not have to work this out alone.
